Since 2010, the UK’s co-ordinator for International Men’s Day has been The Men’s Network in Brighton & Hove. To contact The Men’s Network call Glen Poole  on 07981 334222 or email

This year we are expanding the number of co-ordinators and volunteers involved in organizing the day so we can help more people to use International Men’s Day 2012:

  • Have some serious fun
  • Highlight some serious issues
  • Celebrate Britain’s men and boys in all their hairy diversity

and we’d like to hear from any individual or organisation who would like to become a co-ordinator for International Men’s Day in your area.

I would love to take part in promoting equality of the sexes on this day. I have put all of my opinions onthe issue online: What are your oppinions? I need some feedback. The thing is, I am not anti-women nor am I pro-women.

I was beaten at home and at school up to the age of 16. It was not permitted to beat girls where I went to school, I would ask all men to allow the subject of corporal punishment of boys (not girls, women can deal with that) to be fully and openly debated, even though feelings of shame, fear and fury will inevitably arise.
