CoolTan Arts, a mental health and wellbeing charity based in South London, has run it’s first ever Men’s Group in the run up to International Men’s Day.

The event held at the charity’s arts centre in the Walworth Road, near Elephant & Castle in Southwark included discussions about:

  • Men’s Health
  • The history of Men’s Groups
  • Why have Men’s Day at CoolTan?
  • Positive role models

There were also some short films.refreshments and a closed men-only session later in the afternoon.

CoolTan Arts believes mental well-being is enhanced by the power of creativity. It’s a charity run by and for adults with mental distress that aims to promote positive mental health/well being.

It does this by bringing about a change in how participants perceive themselves, enabling people to gain greater focus and to re-establish their relationship with society
