International Men’s Day (IMD) will be marked in Preston Lancashire again this year thanks to the campaign Men Against Violence.

Last year community radio station Preston FM celebrated IMD with a day-long broadcast and this year Men Against Violence

Men Against Violence is primarily a men’s campaign to end violence against women linked to the White Ribbon Campaign but is also interested in raising other issues such as violence against men.

Tackling violence against men and boys is major plank of this year’s International Men’s Day theme, Violence has a major impact on men’s health all over the world. Every year over half a million people die from violence and 83% of them are men and boys.
